The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP – food stamp program) provides food assistance to low and medium-income people that meet the program’s income eligibility requirements.

Approved participants receive an Electronic Benefits Transfer card, which they use just like a debit card to purchase eligible food in authorized retail food stores.
